Community Introductions - "My name is
and I have come tonight because ____ "

Please feel free to bring someone with you to our meetings and encourage teens in your area to at least come and sit in a meeting and see if what we are attempting to do will help them in any way. Parents, bring a teen/ Teens, bring a parent or grandparent.

We have much to discuss and many plans to make if we are going to be successful
in getting some activities in the works for the teens during the summer months. We need suggestions and input from everyone. We also want to fundraise in order to build a scholarship fund for one student from each of the high schools who shows the most progress from grad 9 thru 12th and takes steps to go on to college or a trade school.

We have adopted and planted a spot at Fodor farm to grow an NNHT garden that we hope parents and teens alike will be working side by side to be a part of a great community project.

We need people to weed and water at least 2x per week. We also have some room for a few new plants so if you have something special you'd like to plant please contact us. Wendy and Taylor Shannon and Joanne Romano have started the process of planting so that we can give everyone a chance to get involved.

Wendy Shannon has graciously accepted the responsibility of taking our meeting minutes unfortunately she is unable to attend this evening due to High School meetings so if someone would be willing to take minutes we would really appreciate it.
We would also like to start a fundraising committee so that we can raise funds for scholarships for all three high schools as well as host activities for the teens like dances, picnics etc. We also need an exploratory committee to look for programs suited to teens for after school and weekends and during summer months.

Our goal is to enhance our meetings by taking the information from the teens and finding ways to help get them move forward in school and in their personal lives

We look forward to seeing all of you as well as some new faces.
