Dear Norwalk High School Parents and Guardians:

The Board of Education is looking for a parent from the NHS to serve on the District Data Decision Making Team. This group will have the responsibility for the development of specific objectives related to the District goals and a monitoring responsibility for the implementation of the District improvement Plan. Diversity is of great importance to this committee. In order to make a decision about volunteering to serve on the committee, interested persons should:

    1. Read the Executive Summary and the District Improvement Plan, which are both posted on the District's website in order to familiarize themselves with the work. This is critical.
    2. Determine if they are available on the dates and times indicated
    3. Submit a letter (or email) indicating interest and the grade level(s) and school(s) of the child(ren) in our school system and a brief statement as to why the individual feels they would be an asset to the committee no later than Oct. 1, 2008.
